The following instructions should help you manage your Microsoft Excel macro security levels to allow the workbooks offered on this site to operate properly.  These instructions, and the screen images that they contain, are based on the XP (2002) version of Excel.  Other versions are similar, but not identical. If you have questions, check Excel’s help file.

First, start Microsoft Excel as you normally do on your computer.

Once Excel is running on your computer, click the Tools menu at the top of the screen.  From the drop down menu, select Macro and, from the sub menu, select Security.

Once you have made this setting, you will be able to use the workbooks from this web site. It is recommended that you download the files to a folder on your computer and run them from there. Click the KCPL button, or on this sentence, to return to the download page.

If you have selected the Medium security level, you will be asked whether you wish to Enable Macros when you open the workbooks. Click Enable Macros and the workbook will open and allow you to use all of its features.
